Shaka McGlotten
Shaka McGlotten is professor of media studies and anthropology at Purchase College-SUNY. Their work bridges Black study and queer theory as they intersect with art, media, and technology. They are the author of Dragging: Or, in the Drag of a Queer Life, Virtual Intimacies: Media, Affect, and Queer Sociality, as well as dozens of chapters and articles. They are co-editor of Black Genders and Sexualities and Zombie Sexuality: Essays on Desire and the Living Dead. Their work has been supported by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, Creative Capital | Andy Warhol Foundation, Akademie Schloss Solitude, and Data & Society.
